Most of us have suffered the frustrations of running for a bus, a train or a plane and getting there just too late. But few can have reacted to the disappointment with as much unbridled hysteria as the woman passenger who missed a Cathay Pacific (SEHK: 0293) flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco 11 days ago.
The footage, hosted by the video-sharing online platform YouTube, appears to have been shot with a mobile phone by a member of the airline ground staff. It depicts the woman having a three-minute emotional meltdown.

When she learns the flight has closed and her luggage has been offloaded, she runs screaming towards the air bridge and has to be held back by an airport security guard. She then retreats and begins beating the desk, screaming at Cathay staff: "This in inhumane, inhumane ... what am I going to do, what am I going to do?" VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP.



A Cathay spokeswoman insisted there had been no internal inquiry at Cathay into the posting of the video. "We do not know who shot the video or who posted it on the web," she said.
